This Jewish Woman Is Getting Ready to Live on Mars

~!~ According to reports, Dr // Sheyna Gifford, a Jewish science journalist, medical doctor, astrophysics researcher and space enthusiast, is looking forward to live on the red planet // Gifford has joined five other crew members in NASA sponsored Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation habitat for its fourth simulated space mission to Mars // 

 ~!~ The mission started on August 28 // For the next year, Gifford and the other participants will live in a geodesic dome, which is 36 feet in diameter // 

 ~!~ The two story habitat is situated on a slope about 8,000 feet above sea level on the Big Island of Hawaii // The habitat simulates space missions to find risks linked to long term human space exploration // 

 ~!~ Few days earlier at St // Mary*s Medical Center in San Francisco, Gifford was filming training videos for nonmedical crew on treatment of injuries // She belongs to Los Angeles and has attended the University of California, Berkeley // At present, she is living in St // Louis // Gifford will work as a neuroscientist, medical doctor and habitat journalist in the mission //
