LIVERPOOL TAKING KOVA? Whether the bid is for £10m (ESPN) or £12.9m (Calciomercato), there is a consensus that Liverpool have made a second offer for Inter Milan and Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic after Inter Milan laughed at their opening gambit. Quite why Inter should sell the highly rated 21-year-old for as little as £10m is unclear, especially as he has recently signed a new long-term contract. After all, this is the player described by Giovanni Trapattoni as "a mixture of Kaká and Clarence Seedorf". FALCAO TO CHELSEA? It seems likely that there is some truth to this tale as it is appearing everywhere...we will go to the Daily Mail for a few details. They claim that 'Chelsea opened talks with Radamel Falcao and his representatives on Friday over the possibility of taking the Colombia striker to Stamford Bridge'. Falcao's representative is of course Jorge Mendes, who is also the agent of one Jose Mourinho. There is no fee mentioned by the Mail, though presumably it will be less than the £44m agreed by Manchester United before his flop season. Oh and 'it's understood that Falcao is prepared to accept a significant pay cut' to be Chelsea's back-up striker. GREALISH FOR CITY? Well, he is young and English-ish, so it was only a matter of time before he was linked with a move to Manchester City. Apparently they have 'set the wheels in motion', which apparently means that 'Etihad Stadium first-team spies have kept close tabs on Grealish in recent weeks'. But don't worry Villa fans...the Mail expect nothing to happen until 2016. After all, City will have their hands full signing Raheem Sterling, Jack Wilshere, Ross Barkley and John Stones.
